Internet Backhaul
Rapidly scaling broadband usage and increasingly video intensive applications are driving substantial increases in traffic per subscriber for both telecom and MSOs. While increased broadband utilization is great for end users, the increase in traffic without an increase in incremental revenue puts real economic pressure on operators to find new ways to dramatically scale capacity with fundamentally lower costs.
Cyan Z-Series multi-layer transport platforms provide increased capacity and efficiency for Internet backhaul applications. The same Ethernet service modules that provide high-performance Service Level Agreements (SLAs), which guarantee services throughput, can simultaneously support Internet backhaul traffic with a mix of QoS levels.
Leveraging new connection-oriented Ethernet standards to scale packet services using native packet transport provides further cost optimization.
Finally, Cyan's transformational CyMS multi-layer management system provides increased insight into the network and network resources to maximize the efficiency of the network in providing these transports over the lowest cost routing paths - saving higher SLA capable facilities for higher SLA services.
In aggregate, the Cyan Z-Series platform provides industry leading Internet backhaul scale, with service appropriate QoS and compelling economics.
